Glass and trees can be a deadly combination for New York City's migratory birds, according to a September 2009  Northeastern Naturalist article written by former NYC Audubon staff Yigal Gelb and Nicole Delacretaz  . Their conclusions are supported by data collected by the authors and a dedicated team of Project Safe Flight volunteers at New York City sites.
