Dear PSF volunteers, For this spring’s third update, we’ll just go through the numbers which are still fairly low. Please remember to register the birds you find in the database because it’s the only way for me to analyze the numbers. During the past two weeks, a total of 20 birds were collected, four of which were injured. Morgan Mail is leading the count with a total of 12 birds, followed by the WFC Winter Garden (3 birds). The “bird of the moment’ is the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (3), but a ruby-throated Hummingbird, a Red-breasted Grosbeak and two Black and White Warblers were also collected.
These amazing picture were taken by Cal Vornberger and can all be viewed on his web-gallery at: www.calvorn.com Well, enjoy the birding and I’ll get back to you next week. Take care, Nicole |
