Dear friends, In this week’s update you’ll find numbers from the field as well as a graph indicating the migration density for this season as well as an invitation to our Eco-Cruise Press Event next week. 1. Numbers A total of 91 birds have been collected this season, with 75 dead birds and 16 injured. The following graph indicates the number of birds found per week since the beginning of migration this spring and outlines the predicted peak we experience last week. Our top four species now include a newcomer, the Ovenbird. The other three include the Woodcock, the Gray Catbird, and the White-throated Sparrow. Photo© Cal Vornberger 2.
