Annual Appeal 2008

bottomline

Each winter, New York City Audubon reaches out to our supporters to thank you for your contributions and celebrate the successes you have made possible.

With your help, this year we worked to preserve Arlington Marsh in Staten Island, and South Brother Island in the Bronx. We also convinced the U.S. Postal Service to install opaque film over the highly reflective windows at the Morgan mail-sorting center, which used to be the deadliest building in the city for birds. This simple step will prevent collisions and save the lives of 300 birds each year. Read more about our work here (pdf).

Each year NYC Audubon’s conservation and education initiatives reach out to more than 20,000 New Yorkers in all five boroughs. Now we are reaching out to you.

The Annual Appeal is a crucial source of funding for NYC Audubon’s most important programs, like Project Safe Flight, Harbor Herons, and the Natural Areas Initiative. It also sustains our essential operations and services. Please consider making a gift of $25 or more to our support our work.

You may visit our donation page to make a contribution online, or contact our office to give over the phone or by mail.

Thank you!
