Birds and Glass Buildings

NYC Audubon joined renowned architects and scientists at the 2005 Birds and Buildings Conference in Chicago on March 11. Speakers addressed the hazards of glass and buildings for migrating birds and discussed innovative bird-safe glass and building designs. Executive Director E.J. McAdams detailed the work of NYC Audubon's Project Safe Flight. Visit the birds and buildings page to learn more about the conference and to see if your building is bird-friendly.

This letter to the editor of the New York Times from E.J. McAdams was published on March 7th. The letter comments on the re-design of the General Motors Building on Fifth Avenue and it's hazards for birds, NYC Audubon's Project Safe Flight and the bird-friendly design conference in Chicago on March 11th.
