Pale Male Updates

bottomline

After weeks of delectable nuptial gifts of rat, and copulating atop some of the best addresses on Fifth Avenue, Pale Male and Lola have done it again. Lola took to the 927 nest for her first over night of this season on 3 Mar 2006. One of the earliest dates for this behavior by one of Pale Male's mates. By the 8th Lola was exhibiting postures, a half sitting crouch, denoting at least one egg in the nest.

By the 12th she was sitting full down, a clue that her clutch may well be complete. Pale Male attentive as always, has been bringing prepared pigeon dinners to Lola on the nest. And, if she doesn't feel like dining immediately, he politely eats only his half, leaving the rest for her to eat at her leisure.

Charlotte and Pale Male Jr. have also been actively pursuing a family this spring. Charlotte seemingly preferring pigeons as nuptial gifts to Lola's favorites, rats, has seemingly been presented with as many as she could eat by Junior. Their favorite copulation spots include the Time Warner Building, the CNN sign at Columbus Circle, and the chimney of The Hampshire House. And as the Trump Parc nest contents are visible from several higher vantage points, no educated guesses are necessary when it comes to the question of whether an egg has yet been laid. The first was spotted with a telescope on March 12th.
